Sewn-on leather patches
A sewn patch is our standard engraved patch with a stitch line around the edge, run on our Happy HCD2-1501 or YunFu 15-needle. It costs $4–6 more per hat than glued and is the right call for work hats, beanies and anything that goes in a washer.
When to choose sewn
- Work crews: construction, ag, oilfield, shop environments.
- Beanies and knit caps that get washed.
- Unstructured and foam fronts (6502, Decky foam truckers).
- Hats you expect to last for years, not seasons.
How it looks
The stitch sits just inside the patch edge in a thread color you pick (matching the leather, matching the hat, or a contrast). On the proof we show the stitch color so there are no surprises.
